In 2008, Karla Karvas McKinley and Kathryn Forney Sargent established ThinkHumanFirst to promote the oneness of humanity through the building of schools. We believe that education is a fundamental human right and the single most important element in combating poverty and unemployment. ThinkHumanFirst is fully committed to spreading educational empowerment.

From the Human Genome Project we learned that human DNA is approx. 99% identical. ThinkHumanFirst was founded on the principal that we collectively belong to the human race for which we are all responsible.

Searching for a symbol of our human similarities, McKinley and Sargent were drawn to the beauty of the DNA double helix. They designed a 14 kt. solid gold, double helix bracelet to engender donations for the purpose of building schools in impoverished locations around the world.
